Choose one format below. Tuition is a one-time price per person; confirm your session before payment.
Who should attend
Built around your everyday decisions.
Owners, estimators and operations managers in trades, cleaning, landscaping and property services.
Before the session
Bring a redacted completed estimate and actual labor hours, material costs and subcontractor invoices. If unavailable, use the classroom case.
The curriculum
Learn it. Practice it. Apply it.
01
Scope before price
A useful estimate begins with an observable result.
Your practice: Rewrite one vague service description into five measurable scope statements. Add two exclusions and one discovery question. Exchange with a partner who acts as the customer.
02
Cost, markup and margin
Direct job cost includes productive labor and the job expenses your accounting policy assigns directly.
Your practice: Calculate the example both ways. Then increase labor by 16 hours with price unchanged. Calculate revised cost, gross profit and margin. Explain the difference to a customer-facing colleague.
03
Price changes and protect cash
A pricing decision includes execution capacity and timing.
Your practice: Prepare a change request for this case. Identify who approves it, when the crew may start and how the office updates the job budget. Map the week in which costs and collections occur.
04
Actual results improve the next bid
Close the loop after completion.
Your practice: Complete a variance review. Name the cause, the controllable action and the owner. Select one metric for the next three similar jobs.
Two ways to learn
A focused introduction. A workshop to put it into practice.
90-minute introduction
Understand the core ideas, work through an example and complete one business tool. A focused option for networking groups and team meetings.
Includes: guided discussion, a worksheet and a next-step commitment. Attendance acknowledgment only.
One-time tuition per person, in USD, before applicable tax. Member pricing requires verified active Safer Pros membership.
Make the next 30 days count.
Set a baseline, choose an owner, test a change and review the result. Select measures relevant to your business:
Estimated versus actual labor hours
Gross profit dollars and gross margin on completed jobs
Unapproved change-order dollars
Share of completed jobs reviewed within seven days
Workshop rhythm
Opening and case study; four teaching and practice modules; application lab; knowledge check; action planning.
The four-hour format includes 220 instructional minutes and two ten-minute breaks. Course examples are educational and do not guarantee financial or business results.
Before you enroll
Are dates and tuition available?
Request information for upcoming public sessions or private company training. We will confirm dates, instructor, format, tuition and participant terms before you enroll. Submitting an inquiry does not reserve a seat or charge a payment.
What does the completion certificate mean?
The four-hour workshop requires all 220 instructional minutes, at least four of five knowledge-check answers correct, and all four capstone criteria met. Coaching and reassessment are available. The certificate documents course completion; it does not provide a professional license, CEU credit, accreditation or Safer Pros provider verification.
Can our whole team attend?
Yes. Request private company training and include your location, preferred format and approximate group size. Examples can be adapted to your service category.
What if I need an accommodation?
Contact info@saferpros.com with your participation needs. We can discuss accessible materials and alternatives to verbal role-play before the session.
